WATERVILLE — Police are investigating a second report of robbery in two days in the city and are releasing few details about either case.
On Sunday, a robbery was reported at J&S Oil on Kennedy Memorial Drive, though police were still working to determine whether a robbery actually happened, said Sgt. Dan Goss of the Waterville Police Department. While the victim reported the robbery near J&S Oil, it did not take place at the gas station and convenience store, Goss said.
Goss said the report of robbery around 1:50 a.m. Sunday is not believed to be related to a report of robbery early Saturday morning.
Around 4:30 a.m. Saturday a robbery was reported in the area of Drummond Avenue and is alleged to have been committed by a person who knew the victim.
Sgt. Lincoln Ryder of the Waterville Police Department said Saturday that police were looking for the suspect and that they did not believe there was any threat to the public while the investigation was ongoing.
Goss said Sunday that police have no update on the Drummond Avenue robbery.
