A Thomaston man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion that he sexually abused two children under the age of 14.
Knox County Sheriff’s Office Detective Justin Twitchell obtained a search warrant after a concerned parent contacted police about the conduct of Robert J. Robinson, 64.
As a result of Twitchell’s investigation, Robinson was arrested and charged with two counts each of Class A gross sexual assault, Class B unlawful sexual contact, and unlawful touching, a misdemeanor.
He was being held at Knox County Jail in Rockland on $25,000 bail.
The sheriff’s office did not say whether Robinson knew the alleged victims or what their relationship might have been and did not provide any additional details about the abuse.
