Gov. Paul LePage will hold a town hall-style meeting in Oakland Tuesday.
The meeting will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at Messalonskee Middle School, 33 School Bus Drive. It is free and open to the public.
LePage will deliver remarks about moving Maine forward and answer questions from residents, according to a news release from his office. It will also focus on his “vision for Maine, including further reducing the income tax; reforming welfare; cutting energy costs; and strengthening domestic violence laws.”
The forums, which the governor holds every couple of weeks, feature a speech by LePage followed by questions from the audicence.
His town hall audiences have been both supportive and combative, the Press Herald has reported.
At a meeting in Madison in March, the most recent one in the Waterville-Skowhegan area, he reiterated his message that voters need to elect candidates who will support their interests, and several times brought up the need to reduce energy costs to creat a more business-friendly operating environment in the state.
