READFIELD — Readfield Community Library will hold a silent auction fundraiser of 26 surplus library items, including vintage furniture and card catalogs. All proceeds benefit the library.
Bidding is open through 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, the day of the annual library book sale.
Silent auction items are available for viewing by appointment only at the Readfield Community Library during regular library summer hours (4-8 p.m. Mondays, 2-8 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursdays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday). Items are viewable online at readfieldlibrary.wordpress.com.
Bidding sheets are available at the library, bidding must be in person. All items offered for sale are in “as is” condition.
Winning bidders will be called within a week of the auction closing date. Payment and pick-up of winning items must be within two weeks of notification. Payment is by cash or personal check. If the highest bidder cannot be reached within one week, the next highest bidder will be notified.
