A woman was injured Sunday afternoon when she fell from a ledge at a swimming area on the Swift River in Byron.

An Oxford County dispatcher said an ambulance was dispatched to the scene.

Michelle Ladd, an employee at nearby Coos Canyon Campground and Cabins on Byron Village Road, said the woman may have suffered a head injury. Ladd said the campground phone was used to place an emergency call.

Additional information on the accident was unavailable Sunday night.
