Gov. Paul LePage did a magnificent action by apologizing for the email he sent. It reminded me of Sirach 3: 17-18 — “conduct your affairs with humility, and you will be loved more than a giver of gifts … Humble yourself the more, the greater you are …”

If only the warring factions in the Middle East would do likewise.
