WATERVILLE — Police are investigating an alleged assault that was reported around 3 p.m. on Saturday over the holiday weekend.
The assault allegedly occurred at Head of Falls on Front Street, Sgt. Alden Weigelt said. The victim was struck on the top of the head, but police don’t yet know what he was struck with.
The victim was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center Thayer Center for Health on North Street. Weigelt said the victim was intoxicated, so police didn’t get much information at the time. He was treated and has since been released from the hospital.
Police are now trying to follow up with the victim to find out more about the alleged assault.
