WATERVILLE — Sexual Assault Crisis and Support Center held its sixth annual One in Five 5K Run/Walk on April 30 in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. More than 500 race participants, families and community members attended the event at Thomas College.

The event raised more than $24,000 to support the center’s wraparound services provided to victims and survivors of sexual violence.

Team and individual awards were presented. The Largest Team was Supporters of Victim Services with 60 participants.

Family Violence Project was awarded Most Team Spirit, team members wore teal and purple tutus representing the awareness colors for sexual assault and domestic violence.

Top Fundraising Team was KSW FCU and the Top Fundraising individual was Virginia Killam. Cecilia Dube earned the ribbon for Overall Female with a time of 20 minutes and 46 seconds and Jay Nutting earned the ribbon for Overall Male with a time of 20 minutes and 49 seconds.
