Pittsfield’s Bicentennial Committee is sponsoring a design contest in celebration of its upcoming 200th birthday in 2019. Its slogan is “Pittsfield … A Good Place to Call Home,” and entries are being sought for designs that can be used on hats and T-shirts. Winners will be selected in each age group: Kindergarten through eighth grade, ninth through twelfth grade and adult. Designs can be left at any of the following sites: Pittsfield Public Library, school offices at Maine Central Institute, Manson Park, Vickery and Warsaw.
