A bicyclist who was injured Monday in a collision with a vehicle has died, police said.

Philip E. Philbin, 53, of Clinton, Massachusetts, suffered severe head injuries in the crash with a 2011 Land Rover SUV at about 7:30 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue. He died Tuesday, Wells police said in a statement.

Police believe Philbin, who was vacationing here, may have veered into the path of the SUV, which was driven by a 17-year-old.
