BELFAST — Braden Soule scored 15 points to lead the Erskine boys basketball team to a 55-50 win over Belfast on Friday night.
Gavin Blanchard scored eight points and had 12 rebounds, while Jacob Praul had eight points and seven rebounds for the Eagles (4-7).
Stanley Sturgis led the Lions (5-6) with 18 points. Dakota Doolan added 12 points.
BRUNSWICK 65, MESSALONSKEE 45: Tucker Charles and Chase Warren each scored 12 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Eagles dropped a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Brunswick.
Colby Charette added six points for Messalonskee (5-7).
Noah Cox led the Dragons (8-3) with 16 points.
MARANACOOK 86, WATERVILLE 30: Bryan Riley canned three 3-pointers and scored 13 points to lead the Black Bears (9-3) to the KVAC B victory in Readfield Friday.
Cash McClure and Mitch Root contributed to a balanced scoring effort with nine points apiece, while Aric Belanger, Silas Mohlar, Jarred Schmidt and Skyler Boucher scored eight.
Jack Lloyd led the Purple Panthers (0-12) with 10 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
KENTS HILL 40, ISLESBORO 24: Tiffany McGhie scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Huskies to the win at Islesboro.
Lauren Murray added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, for Kents Hill (8-2).
Islesboro (1-6) was led by Keisha Scott with 10 points.
RICHMOND 42, CARRABEC 19: Sydney Tilton scored 13 points to go along with 12 rebounds as the Bobcats cruised to the C South victory in Richmond.
Caitlin Kendrick scored 10 points for Richmond (9-4).
Bailey Dunphy scored eight points to lead the Cobras (5-8).
BRUNSWICK 55, MESSALONSKEE 43: Charlotte MacMillan scored a game-high 27 points and Marley Groat added 10 as the Dragons (11-0) grounded the Eagles in a rematch of the Class A state title game last season.
Gabrielle Wener scored a team-high 13 points for Messalonskee (8-4) while Ally Turner added eight.
ERSKINE 50, BELFAST 21: Lydia Boucher scored 13 points to lead the Eagles to the win in South China.
Joanna Linscott added seven points for Erskine (3-8).
Grace Fitzjurls scored eight points to lead Belfast (0-12).
LAWRENCE 60, CONY 25: Keagan Alley scored 15 points to lead the Bulldogs to a KVAC A win in Fairfield.
Brooklynn Lambert scored 13 points, while Megan Curtis added 11 points for Lawrence (5-5).
Sarah Caron led Cony (1-11) with eight points.
WATERVILLE 78, MARANACOOK 19: Maddi Martin earned a double-double with 15 points and 10 steals to lead the Purple Panthers to a KVAC B win in Waterville.
Sadie Garland and MacKenzie St. Pierre each scored 14 points, while Paige St. Pierre and Abigail Soucier each added 11 points for Waterville (7-5).
Anna Drillen led Maranacook (2-10) with five points.
