FAIRFIELD — Cam Barnes scored 13 points, leading the Skowhegan boys basketball team to a 48-45 overtime win over Lawrence in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Thursday night.
Marcus Christopher scored 11 points, while Cole Pierce added nine points for Skowhegan (11-7).
Gavin Herrin scored 18 points for Lawrence (7-11), while Nick Robertson added 11 points.
HAMPDEN 60, NOKOMIS 48: The Broncos pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Warriors 16-6 in the final period in a matchup of the top two teams in Class A North in Newport.
Ian McIntyre and Bryce Lausier each had 15 points for Hampden (17-1).
Zach Hartsgrove scored a game-high 21 for Nokomis (12-6), while Josh Smestad added 11.
TEMPLE ACADEMY 70, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 37: Nikola Kekic scored 16 points to lead the Bereans to an East/West win over the Lions in Waterville.
Nathaniel Wiles scored 13 points, while Ilija Ivkovic added nine points for Temple (9-9).
Mason Jones led Greater Portland (0-14) with 22 points.
GREENVILLE 51, VALLEY 46: Nick Foley scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Lakers to the Class D South win in Bingham.
Devon Boone and Noah Pratt added 13 points each for Greenville (16-2).
Joey Thomas added 15 points, including four 3-pointers, for Valley (13-5) while Josh Brown chipped in 11.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
WATERVILLE 50, MARANACOOK 27: Abby Saucier scored 13 points to lead a balanced attack as the Purple Panthers earned the KVAC B win in Readfield.
Maddie Martin and Sadie Garling each scored nine for Waterville (13-5) while Jada Murray had eight.
Maranacook (5-13) was led by Anna Drillen and Gabby Green with six points apiece.
