HALLOWELL — The Harlow Gallery recently announced its new year-round retail fine craft shop will open for business Wednesday, March 7. The Harlow Craft Shop, contained in a office-sized room, is located in the upstairs of the gallery at 100 Water St. Shop hours are the same as the gallery hours: noon-6 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday or by chance or appointment.
A curated selection of locally handcrafted items will be for sale including pottery, woodworking, fiber and texiles, personal care, jewelry, books, prints and more. All artists featured in the shop are primarily from the greater Kennebec Valley area and are members of the Harlow Gallery/Kennebec Valley Art Association.
The public is invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, for the gallery’s new location.
The gallery’s current artists are listed by media as follows: Pottery — Whitney Gill Ceramics, Dylan Gifford Pottery, Maple Lane Pottery, The Potter’s Shed; wood — Butler Woodworking; personal care — Ledgeway Farm Goatmilk Soap; jewelry — Ellipsem Jewelry; fiber/textiles — House of Bouton, Kathleen Bird, Linda Herschenfeld; and print media — Tyson Pease, Studio 36, Quiet Tide Goods.
