AUGUSTA — Three people were arrested on drug trafficking charges Monday evening after police searched a property on Crosby Street Place and reportedly found several grams of cocaine.
Augusta police obtained a search warrant for the property after a joint investigation with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, according to a news release Tuesday morning from Jared Mills, deputy chief of the Augusta department.
No address was provided for the property. During the search, which happened around 5:30 p.m., three people were taken into police custody.
Jaci Beane, 24, was charged with eight counts of trafficking in scheduled drugs and one count of violating conditions of release. Four of those trafficking charges were aggravated, but the news release did not indicate what elevated them. Police set her bail at $25,000 cash.
Tabitha Luczkowski, 28, of Windsor, was charged with one count of trafficking in scheduled drugs. Police set her bail at $5,000 cash.
Jon Brotherton, 45, of Augusta, was charged with one count of trafficking in scheduled drugs. Police set his bail at $10,000 cash.
After the property was searched with the help of police dogs, an unspecified amount of cocaine was seized, Mills said in the release.
