WINSLOW — Nick West hit a two-run single in the fourth inning and the Winslow baseball team earned its first victory of the season with a 2-1 decision over Lawrence in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Monday afternoon.

Cam Winslow doubled and Ethan Lachance singled for the Black Raiders (1-10).

Lawrence dropped to 3-7.

BRIDGEWAY 10, OAK HILL 0, 5 INN.: Evan Holzworth had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs to lead the Bandits to the Mountain Valley Conference victory in North Anson.

Senior Jacob Atwood had a single and a triple for Bridgeway (5-5) as well.

Reid Cote had a double to lead Oak Hill (3-6).

EDWARD LITTLE 7, ERSKINE 2: Ben Cassidy had two hits, including a double, and picked up the win on the mound as the Red Eddies (11-0) remained unbeaten with a KVAC victory in South China.

Maxx Bell tripled for Edward Little, while Grant Hartley and Ethan Brown had doubles and Austin Brown had three singles.

Boomer Jorgensen had two hits, including a double, for the Eagles (4-7). Joe Clark had a double.

RANGELEY 14, HIGHVIEW CHRISTIAN 4, 5 INN.: Kyle LaRochelle had two doubles and four RBIs, while Bo Beaulieu had a single, double and four RBIs to lead the Lakers in Rangeley.

Leo Perez had three singles, while Ian Lillis had two singles and a double for Rangeley (6-2). Lillis also scored three runs.

Desmond Murray had a single and two RBIs for Highview Christian (1-5).

WATERVILLE 10, MEDOMAK VALLEY 1: The Purple Panthers scored six run in the first inning to pull away with the KVAC B win in Waterville.

Dan Gaunce had four hits and drove in three runs for Waterville (6-4). Cody Pellerin earned the win and also hit a pair of triples and drove in a pair.

Medomak Valley dropped to 2-8.

SKOWHEGAN 5, BRUNSWICK 0: Colby Esty struck out eight while throwing a one-hitter, leading the Indians (6-4) to the KVAC victory in Brunswick.

Esty also had two singles to help his cause, while Kiel LaChapelle smacked a pair of doubles. Kyle Kruse and Carter Hunt had two singles apiece.

The Dragons fell to 3-9.

MT. ABRAM 8, DIRIGO 7: Luke Kearing homered as part of a two-hit day and the Roadrunners held on for the MVC win in Dixfield.

Kenyon Pillsbury and Bryce Werzanski also had two hits apiece for Mt. Abram (5-5).

Dirigo dropped to 4-6.

SOFTBALL

CARRABEC 3, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: Mackenzie Baker drove in a pair of runs and the Cobras held on for the MVC win in Jay.

Samantha LeBeau allowed only four hits while striking out seven to earn the win for Carrabec (8-3), which won for the third time in the last four games. Bailey Dunphy had two of the Cobras’ four hits.

Hannah Turcotte struck out 14 to keep Spruce Mountain (5-4) in it.

EDWARD LITTLE 16, ERSKINE 1, 6 INN.: Emily Lashua had four hits, including a double and a triple, to go along with four RBIs as the Red Eddies rolled in South China.

Anna LeBlanc doubled, tripled and drove in a pair for EL (7-4).

Parker King had a single to pace the Eagles (2-9).

BUCKFIELD 18, VALLEY 2: Buckfield (6-2) scored 12 runs in the final three innings to break open a close game and earn the East/West Conference victory.

Junior Julia Dow struck out nine and allowed just two runs in five innings to earn the victory.

Junior Kennedy Savoy had two hits for Valley (3-4).

SKOWHEGAN 12, BRUNSWICK 0, 5 INN.: Ashley Alward and Sydney Ames combined on a no-hitter as the Indians remained unbeaten in KVAC A this season.

Mariah Dunbar and Alward each had two hits for Skowhegan (9-0), which scored six times in the second inning and four more in the third.

Brunswick is 0-9.

GIRLS LACROSSE

WINSLOW 15, LINCOLN 2: Savannah Joler had six goals to lead the Black Raiders in Winslow.

Hailey Grenier and Silver Clukey added three goals and an assist for Winslow (5-0) while Katie Doughty chipped in two goals and three assists. Cassie McCaslin rounded out the scoring with a goal. Carrie Selwood made five saves.

Brinley Harrison scored both goals for Lincoln (0-7) while Ellie Matthews made 10 saves.

ERSKINE 9, GARDINER 8: Joanna Linscott scored three goals, including the game-winner, and Jordan Linscott added two to lift the Eagles in South China.

Ella Johnson had a goal and an assist and Ashlynn Wing had 11 saves for Erskine (3-2).

Michaela Gardner scored four goals to lead Gardiner.

BOYS LACROSSE

BANGOR 16, ERSKINE 8: Jacob Henry scored four goals and Reid Higgs added three to lead the Rams. Caleb Tyler scored four goals and Ethan Furlong added two to lead the Eagles.
