FAIRFIELD — Cody Pellerin had three hits and drove in three runs as the Waterville baseball team took an 8-3 win over Lawrence in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Wednesday.
David Barre gave up just three hits in the complete-game win, striking out 11 while walking none. Chase Wheeler drove in a pair of runs for Waterville (7-4).
Christian Adams had a single and double for Lawrence (3-8).
LEAVITT 5, ERSKINE 1: Eli Lind and Darin Hewitt each doubled and had four and three hits, respectively, to back starter Bryan Hewitt and lift the Hornets (7-5) to the KVAC B victory in South China.
Brian Hewitt fanned nine in a complete game for Leavitt. He added a double in the victory.
Nick Barber had two singles for the Eagles (4-8).
MESSALONSKEE 12, CAMDEN HILLS 0, 5 INN.: The Eagles scored six runs in the second inning to pull away for the KVAC A win in Rockport.
Tyler Lewis went 4 for 4 for Messalonskee (6-6), while Dylan Cunningham, Percy Carey, and Jake Perry each had two hits. Tyler Noonan picked up the win.
Camden Hills is now 2-10.
BRIDGEWAY 17, TELSTAR 3, 5 INN.: Evan Bess struck out 11 and Evan Holzworth drove in five runs to lead the Bandits to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Bethel.
Eric Wescott and Sean Whalen each drove in a pair of runs for Bridgeway (6-5). Zach Belanger hit three singles for the Bandits.
Telstar dropped to 2-6.
SOFTBALL
SKOWHEGAN 5, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Sydney Ames had two doubles as part of a three-hit day to lead the Indian offense in the KVAC A game in Auburn.
Ames struck out six in the circle to help Skowhegan (10-0) remain unbeaten. Wiley Bedard tripled in the win.
Grace Beaudet had a double for Edward Little (7-5).
WINTHROP 4, CARRABEC 3: Hanna Caprara homered in the sixth to lift the Ramblers to the MVC win in North Anson.
Layne Audet earned the victory in the circle for Winthrop (8-3), allowing six hits.
Makenzie Baker had a double and a triple for Carrabec (8-4).
VALLEY 13, FOREST HILLS 1, 5 INN.: Emily Collins drove in four runs to lead the Cavaliers to the East/West Conference win.
Cylee Pratt threw a no-hitter for the win, striking out seven, and scored a pair of runs and drove in three for Valley, while Jada Ward scored three runs.
Alexandra Lessard scored Forest Hills’ run.
ERSKINE 4, LEAVITT 1: Kayla Hodgkins struck out six to earn the KVAC B win in South China.
MaKenzie Strout doubled for Erskine (3-9). Lydia Boucher doubled and drove in a run for the Eagles.
Emily Swan took the loss for Leavitt (5-7) and had one of the Hornets four hits.
LAWRENCE 6, WATERVILLE 1: Samantha Marshall pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead the Bulldogs to the KVAC B win in Fairfield.
Haley Holt had a double and a triple for Lawrence (6-5). Megan Curtis added a pair of singles.
Hannah LeClair singled and scored a run for Waterville (2-9).
GIRLS LACROSSE
WINSLOW 16, BANGOR 1: Savannah Joler scored five goals to lead the Black Raiders in Bangor.
Silver Clukey and Taylor Rodriguez each scored three goals, while Cassie McCaslin and Hailey Grenier each had two goals for Winslow (6-0). Alyssa Currie notched a goal for the Black Raiders.
Giovanna Tompkins scored the lone goal for Bangor (0-5). Maddie Boudreau had 16 saves for the Rams.
