Teen Challenge Maine of Winthrop will host its 11th annual golf tournament on Saturday, June 23, at the Turner Highlands Golf Course in Turner. This course features an 18-hole challenge with mountain views, ponds, orchards and covered bridges, according to a news release from Janice Davis, volunteer development advisor for the program.
Registration and breakfast will start at 7 a.m. and the shotgun tee off is set for 8 a.m.
Hole-in-one prizes include a new Ford truck, $10,000, a set of Callaway irons, roundtrip domestic airline tickets for two and a flat screen LCD television.
The first-place foursome will receive a whale watching Lubec Harbor boat trip for eight with sightings of whales, seals, eagles, lighthouses, with U.S. and Canada sights. The second-place foursome will receive a white water day rafting trip with North Country Rivers Rafting. The third-place foursome winners will receive a round of golf and cart rentals from Turner Highlands Golf Course.
A Taylormade RBZ driver will be awarded for the longest drive, a Taylormade RBZ fairway driver will be awarded for the straightest drive, and a putter will be awarded for the longest putt.
A raffle drawing will offer a golfer the chance to putt for $5,000.
The Dixon representative will host a game at one of the holes with ecofriendly balls and will present a free Dixon driver to the winner of the Dixon game.
The classic fee is $100 per person or $350 per foursome, which includes 18 holes, cart rental for each pair of golfers, breakfast and awards luncheon.

Teen Challenge Maine offers a 15-month faith-based residential rehab center for men suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. The men are accepted through an admissions process and must be 18 years of age or older. Keith O’ Brien, the director, can be reached at the TCM campus at 377-2801.
