Central Maine DNA Interest Group will hold summer meetings from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, July 21 and Aug. 18, at the Sidney Historical Society, in the basement of the Sidney Grange, 2986 Middle Road.
The group gets together to discuss their interest in DNA testing, how to use it to uncover their ancestry, and expand their family trees.
The DIG leaders for central Maine are Peter Smith and Nancy Lecompte, both are experienced genealogists working with DNA in their own family projects.
The group meets the third Saturday of every month, and meets 10 months of the year at the Winslow Public Library.
Note the Grange basement is one half flight of stairs from street level with sturdy handrails on both sides. Those who need assistance, please ask.
