Jeff Daniels and the Ben Daniels Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Strand Theatre, 345 Main St. in Rockland.
Widely known as an actor, Jeff Daniels also is a singer and guitarist who has been playing live for more than 15 years and has released six albums. A prolific songwriter, Daniels songs blend old-school blues with acoustic folk as he sings about the simple life.
He has toured with his son’s band, the Ben Daniels Band, and has shared the stage with Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Joe Ely, Guy Clark, Keb Mo’ and Bruce Hornsby. The Ben Daniels Band is known for their originality, musicianship, and a sound that spans Americana, Blues, Jazz and Rock.
Tickets cost $30 in advance, or $35 at the door.
