AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library will host a local history event “Manufacturing Augusta: The Kirschner Meat Processing Plant” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at the library at 45 Winthrop St. The free event will be presented by the Heritage Center at Mill Park.
Those who attend can learn about the local history of industrial Augusta in this third event in the Heritage Center at Mill Park series. Jan Michaud, founder of the Heritage Center at Mill Park, will share video interviews with former Kirschner workers and owners and will conclude the evening with a question-and-answer session.
The snow date for this event is Jan. 14.
