PITTSFIELD — Sydney Farrar scored a team-high 14 points as the Maine Central Institute girls basketball team topped John Bapst 50-30 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Monday night.

Leah Bussell added 10 points for MCI (6-5), with Christa Carr chipping in eight of her own. All eight players who appeared for the Huskies made their way into the scoring column in a balanced effort.

Lacey Scanlon led John Bapst (4-7) with 11.

MONMOUTH 57, TELSTAR 25: Katie Harris scored 16 points as the Mustangs put the Mountain Valley Conference game in hand by halftime in Bethel.

Emma Johnson added 10 points for Monmouth (8-3), while Kaeti Butterfield and Libby Clement scored eight apiece.

Luci Rothwell led Telstar (2-10) with 16 points.

TEMPLE 53, NORTH HAVEN 41: Deleyni Carr scored 18 points, one of three Bereans in double figures, in the win in North Haven.

Olivia Baker added 13 points for Temple (7-3), and Hannah Hubbard chipped in with 12 of her own.

Layla Sparhawk led North Haven (0-9) with a game-high 22 points.

BOOTHBAY 68, HALL-DALE 32: The Seahawks (11-0) led 35-15 at the half and went on to defeat the Bulldogs (6-4) in an MVC game in Farmingdale.

Faith Blethen led Boothbay with 23 points, connecting on four 3-pointers. Glory Blethen added 16.

Iris Ireland, Caden Wills and Catrina Kincaid each scored four points for Hall-Dale.

CARRABEC 42, LISBON 30: Freshman Cheyenne Cahill’s 24 points powered the Cobras to the MVC win in North Anson.

Brooke Welch added eight points for Carrabec (3-9).

Carly Drischler paced Lisbon (1-9) with 12 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

LISBON 70, CARRABEC 35: DJ Douglass led all scorers with 28 points as the Greyhounds rolled to the MVC win in Lisbon.

Owen Fish added 11 for the Greyhounds.

Nikkolas Dube paced Carrabec with a team-high 13 points.

BOYS HOCKEY

BRUNSWICK 6, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP/MADISON 0: Jacob Doring had a hand in all six Dragons’ goals, posting four goals and two assists in the Class B South win at Sid Watson Arena in Brunswick.

Jack St. Pierre scored two goals and assisted on two others for Brunswick (6-4-0), while Spencer Marquis needed only three saves to record the shutout in goal for the Dragons.

Will Hays made 13 saves for Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison (0-8-0).
