DAMARISCOTTA — The Skidompha Library will host “Through the Pages” costume ball on Feb. 22. This costume ball will benefit the Lincoln County News digital archive project. Skidompha has independently raised $40,000 to create a searchable online archive of Lincoln County Newspapers dating all the way back to 1870, according to a news release from the library. This will be the first time back issues will be available to the public digitally, providing an invaluable resource for researchers, historians, and the community.
Through the Pages ball will be hosted at Skidompha Library, 184 Main St. Tickets will be available for purchase at the library’s front desk starting on Wednesday, Jan. 16, for $10 per ticket. All proceeds support the Lincoln County News digitization project.
Musical entertainment and light bites are included with the ticket price; beverages will be for sale. There will also be a limited-edition, newspaper-themed art print for sale, along with a silent auction and other ways to donate to the project.
