WATERVILLE — Abigail Saucier hit a free throw with 2.5 seconds left to help the Waterville girls basketball team edge Oceanside 49-48 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference game Friday night.

Saucier finished with nine points for the Purple Panthers (14-0).

Sadie Garling led Waterville with 15 points while Kali Thompson had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Raechel Joyce scored 18 points to lead the Mariners (5-10).

ERSKINE ACADEMY 53, NOKOMIS 32: Jordan Linscott scored a game-high 14 points and the Eagles rolled to the KVAC victory in South China.

Joanna Linscott and Emily Clark each scored eight points for Erskine (8-7).

Amanda King led Nokomis (2-13) with 10 points.

HAMPDEN 57, MT. BLUE 43: Senior center Bailey Donovan recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Broncos in Farmington.

Hampden (12-3) opened with a 12-4 run in the first quarter and led 25-16 at the half. Junior shooting guard Alydia Brillant contributed 14 points, while Megan Deans added 11 for Hampden.

Junior point guard Lexi Mittelstadt tossed in a game-high 27 points for the Cougars (6-8).

LAWRENCE 66, WINSLOW 45: Kobe Nadeau scored 15 points and Dylan Martin-Hachey added 12 as the Bulldogs rolled to the KVAC victory in Winslow.

Adam Duprey scored 10 points for Lawrence (8-6) as well.

Colby Pomeroy scored a game-high 21 points to lead Winslow (8-6).

ERSKINE 59, NOKOMIS 41: Austin Dunn scored 15 points and Braden Soule added 13 as the Eagles rolled to the KVAC A victory in Newport.

Nicholas Hayden chipped in 10 points for Erskine (10-5).

Jayden Brooks led Nokomis (1-14) with 12 points.

BREWER 57, SKOWHEGAN 54: Aaron Newcomb III and Colby Smith each scored 14 points as surging Brewer edged the Indians in KVAC A action.

Brewer (7-8) trailed 38-34 heading into the fourth quarter before rallying.

Marcus Christopher scored 12 points to lead Skowhegan (5-9).

MARANACOOK 85, MOUNT VIEW 31: Cashman McClure scored a game-high 21 points and Mitch Root added 13 as the Black Bears rolled to the KVAC victory in Readfield.

Tim Worster scored nine points for Maranacook (12-2).

Kyle Noble scored eight points to lead the Mustangs (1-13).

HALL-DALE 86, CARRABEC 15: Ashtyn Abbott had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Cobras in Farmingdale.

Alec Byron scored 12 points, while Patrick Rush added 11 points for Hall-Dale (13-1). Anthony Romano had seven points and seven steals for the Bulldogs.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 60, OAK HILL 29: Senior guard Dylan Desroches and senior center Cameron Godbois each finished with 10 points each as the Falcons won the MVC contest in Wales.

Mountain Valley (13-1) took advantage of a huge 22-0 run in the second quarter for the big difference in the game.

Freshman guard Caden Thompson tossed in a team-high eight points for the Raiders (4-10).
