FAIRFIELD — Cam Winslow struck out seven and the Winslow baseball team held on to edge Lawrence 3-1 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Monday afternoon.
Nick Robertson took the loss for the Bulldogs (5-5). He struck out four and also went the distance.
Winslow scored its runs in the second and third innings.
SKOWHEGAN 3, BRUNSWICK 0: Marcus Christopher doubled and Kyle Kruse turned in a strong complete-game performance as host Skowhegan (4-6) earned the KVAC victory.
Kruse struck out four and walked just one.
Henry Burnham singled and doubled to lead Brunswick (3-7).
EDWARD LITTLE 7, ERSKINE ACADEMY 6, 13 innings: Jacob Arel doubled and the Red Eddies outlasted Erskine in a marathon affair in Auburn.
Nicholas Howard and Joseph Clark each doubled for Erskine (6-5).
EL improved to 8-3.
OAK HILL 9, BRIDGEWAY 8: Caleb Treadwell and Reid Cote each had two hits as the Raiders rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to stun the Madison/Carrabec co-operative team in Wales.
Casey Dion came on in the sixth inning and earned the victory.
Caleb Valliere also doubled for Oak Hill (5-4).
Justyn Stinson and Jacob Meader each had two hits for the Bandits (0-7).
HALL-DALE 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2: Pitcher Akira Warren had three hits and drove in the winning run in the top of the seventh as Hall-Dale secured a victory.
Warren pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits and striking out five for the Bulldogs (6-2).
Jacob Blanchard had two doubles for the Falcons (7-2). Cody Hemingway drove in both Mountain Valley runs with a two-run double in the second inning, making it a 2-2 tie at the time.
GARDINER 6, LEAVITT 5: Isaac Gammon had a triple and a double to help lead the Tigers to the KVAC victory in Turner.
Andrew Kelley picked up the win and Casey Bourque got the save for Gardiner (3-6), which got two runs in the fourth to tie the game and then another in the sixth to go ahead for good. Bourque added a triple as one of his two hits, and Kyle Adams had three singles.
Leavitt fell to 3-6.
MARANACOOK 7, ST. DOMINIC 1: John Lauter took a no-hitter into the sixth inning to lead the Black Bears to the win in Readfield. Lauter, who finished with eight strikeouts, surrended a single in the sixth inning.
Duncan Rogers doubled for Maranacook (8-1).
St. Dominic falls to 4-4.
SOFTBALL
SKOWHEGAN 13, BRUNSWICK 1: Amber Merry, Jaycie Christopher and Emily Dunbar each had a pair of hits as Skowhegan rolled past visiting Brunswick.
Merry and Dunbar each doubled to back another strong performance from Sydney Ames, who improved to 9-0 in the circle.
Brunswick dropped to 2-8.
LAWRENCE 4, WINSLOW 3: Winning pitcher Paige Trask had a pair of singles to help her own cause as the Black Raiders prevailed in a KVAC game in Fairfield.
Trask struck out seven and allowed five hits for Winslow (2-6).
Emily Hagerty had a double for Lawrence (3-7).
HALL-DALE 20, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 3, 6 innings: The Bulldogs scored 10 times in the fourth inning to pull away for the MVC win in Rumford.
Alyssa Bonenfant homered and Iris Ireland added a pair of triples in the win for Hall-Dale (8-1). Sarah Benner earned the win in the pitching circle, while she, Bella Marino and Emily Drappeau all enjoyed multiple-hit days.
Mountain Valley dropped to 0-8.
GARDINER 17, LEAVITT 2, 5 innings: Jaz Clary hit a home run as Gardiner pounded 22 hits in the KVAC B win in Turner.
Haley Brann had four hits for Gardiner (7-2), while Maddie Farnham had three hits for the Tigers. Emily Swan doubled for Leavitt (2-7).
CONY 12, LEWISTON 7: Brooklyn Belanger drove in four runs and scored a pair to lead the Rams to the KVAC win.
Carly Lettre added two hits, including a home run for Cony (4-4).
Gemma Landry led Lewiston (5-6) with two doubles and two runs batted in.
EDWARD LITTLE 8, ERSKINE 6: Chantal Ouellette came on in relief to snuff out an Erskine rally with a strikeout in the seventh inning as the Eddies hung on in Auburn.
Trailing 8-1, Erskine scored five runs in the seventh before Ouellette relieved starter Hannah Smith to close it out. Madison Emmert had three hits to lead EL (6-4).
Chiara Mahoney belted four hits, including two doubles, for Erskine (7-4).
BUCKFIELD 12, VALLEY 0, 5 innings: The pitcher Cara Merrill allowed just three hits with 10 strikeouts and went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Buckfield to a victory in five-innings.
The Bucks (9-1) nested seven runs in the second inning. Maggie Bragg had a single and a triple for Buckfield.
The Cavaliers (4-2) had three hits and committed four errors in the losing effort.
MEDOMAK 14, WATERVILLE 3: Addie Jameson tripled and drove in two runs, and Medomak (7-2) scored six times in the fourth to take a 9-0 lead en route to a win over Waterville (1-9) in Waldoboro.
Lydia Simmons added two hits and two RBI, and Stephanie Morse struck out nine in a winning effort for Medomak.
Kailene Isbell and Olivia Lovendahl each drove in runs for Waterville.
DIRIGO 13, MT. ABRAM 0: Alyvia Peeault had a first-inning home run as the Cougars rolled to the MVC win.
Dirigo (3-4) scored 10 times in the first inning before things settled down. Allie Dyke had three singles and an RBI, while Katie Morse produced two doubles and a pair of RBIs in the win.
Emma Root had the lone hit for Mt. Abram (1-7) with a single in the third inning.
GIRLS LACROSSE
MESSALONSKEE 14, CAMDEN HILLS 10: Kaitlyn Smith scored five goals and Shauna Clark added four goals and an assist to lead the Eagles to the Class B win in Rockport.
Katie Seekins added three goals and Chloe Tilley had a goal and two assists for Messalonskee (2-3). Journey Charles had the other goal and Sadie Colby made 12 saves.
Caroline Contento and Alexia Cazemajou scored three goals apiece for the Windjammers (3-3) while Maddy Boetsch made nine saves.
LAWRENCE 15, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 13: Lexi Lewis scored six goals with two assists to help carry the Bulldogs to the win in Fairfield.
Nora Buck added six goals for Lawrence (2-4) while Savannah Weston had two goals and Emma Poulin had one. Abby Townsend made 21 saves.
Anna Erb scored four goals for Maranacook/Winthrop (5-1) while Mimi Knight, Katie Ide and Ella Delisle added two apiece. Natalie Whitten, Lily Voye and Ella Smith chipped in one each. Samantha Cloutier stopped 15 shots.
BOYS LACROSSE
GARDINER 15, BREWER 1: Tanner Hebert and Matt Boynton each had three goals as the Tigers won in Gardiner
Cody Rizzo and Connor Bell also got in on the hat trick party with three goals apiece for Gardiner (3-2). Cam Kokernak made six saves in goal.
Cole Dummon had the lone goal for Brewer (1-5).
