HALLOWELL — Hall-Dale Middle School reported a positive COVID-19 case Thursday night.
Superintendent of Regional School Unit 2, Tonya Arnold, said there is a “contact tracing situation in process.”
The middle school was using fully remote learning on Friday. Arnold said more details will be available next week.
In addition to updating the RSU 2 community on the positive COVID-19 case, Arnold told the community to be cautious when making plans for April vacation. She advised families to take the appropriate measures when traveling between states. Those that travel internationally will not be allowed in any school building.
“Any staff or students who have traveled internationally will not be permitted inside the school building for a minimum of seven days,” Arnold wrote. “Even if a negative test has occurred.”
