DRESDEN — A Dresden woman was transported to the hospital via LifeFlight with internal injuries following a single-vehicle accident Saturday night.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Lt. Brendan Kane said around 10:30 p.m. Saturday that a 1998 Toyota minivan driven by Marjorie Avery, 59, went off the road near the intersection of Bog Road and Calls Hill Road and hit a utility pole. Kane said the vehicle was “likely” totaled.
After rescue officials arrived, Avery had to be extracted from the vehicle before being flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland with what Kane described as “internal injuries.”
Neither Kane nor Maine Medical Center spokesperson Caroline Cornish could provide update on Avery’s condition Monday.
Kane said the sheriff’s office is still investigating the crash and no charges have been filed yet.
