SOUTH CHINA — Kylie Boardman had three hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Gardiner softball team to an 8-3 victory over Erskine on Tuesday.
Brookelynn Gero pitched five innings to earn the victory. She struck out two and allowed three hits.
Grace Plourde also drove in two runs for the Tigers.
Mackenzie Toner had two hits, including a double and an RBI, for the Eagles.
MADISON 8, MONMOUTH 4: Brooke McKenney had a double, a single, two RBIs and scored a run, along with earning the win in the circle to lead the Bulldogs in Madison.
Landyn Landry added a double and scored three runs for Madison (2-0) while Lillian Levesque also doubled.
Emma Johnson had an inside-the-park home run for Monmouth (1-1), while Abby Flanagan had a triple and Maddie Herr had two hits, including a double. Brooklyn Federico allowed four hits and struck out nine in the circle.
SKOWHEGAN 11, NOKOMIS 1: Sierra Carey had 11 strikeouts in four innings to lead the River Hawks in Skowhegan.
Jaycee Christopher led the offense with two doubles for Skowhegan (1-0) while Mariah Whittemore, Riley Fitzpatrick and Carey also doubled.
Nokomis fell to 1-1.
LAWRENCE 11, MOUNT VIEW 0: Sage Reed twirled a no-hitter while striking out 16 to lead the Bulldogs to the victory in Fairfield.
Reed also had a triple and a double, while Kaylee Elkins (two doubles) had three hits and Jazmin Johnson had two. Maylie Knox and Sarah Poli also had doubles for the Bulldogs (1-0).
The Mustangs fell to 0-1.
GIRLS LACROSSE
CONY 17, NOKOMIS 3: Sierra Clark scored six goals to lead the Rams to the win in Augusta.
Maci Freeman added three goals and an assist for Cony (1-0) while Raegan Bechard and Dinah Wadleigh each had two goals and an assist. Kiara Henry, Andrea Richardson, Azabell Assaf and Abbie Fielding also scored. Madison Chavarie made seven saves for the victors as well.
Emily Strout scored twice for Nokomis (0-2) while Hannah Noonan had the other goal. Samantha Bissell and Casey Plourde combined to make 10 saves.
