AUGUSTA — Sage Reed pitched a no-hitter with 18 strikeouts to lead Lawrence past Cony 11-0 in softball action Wednesday.
Kaylie Elikins had four singles for Lawrence (3-1) while Lila Pierce and Jade Sullivan each had two singles.
Cony fell to 0-2.
HALL-DALE 15, ST. DOMINIC 1, 5 innings: Rita Benoit had two hits, including a triple, to help lead the Bulldogs over the Saints in Auburn.
Emma Soule and Sammy Thornton each had doubles for Hall-Dale (2-0). Benoit, Thornton, Sarah Benner, Lilly Platt, Tanley Tibbetts and Ashlynn Donahue each had two hits for the Bulldogs.
St. Dom’s fell to 0-1.
MADISON 5, WATERVILLE 1: Arabel Linkletter had two doubles to spark the Bulldogs to the win in Waterville.
Landyn Landry and Lillian Levesque added a double apiece for Madison (4-0) while Brooke McKenney pitched a three-hitter.
Savanna Cormier had two singles for Waterville (1-2).
MONMOUTH 14, DIRIGO 2: Brooklyn Federico had two singles and two RBI and also got the win in the circle as the Mustangs prevailed in Monmouth.
Abby Flanagan added a double, two singles and an RBI for Monmouth (4-1) while Katie Laliberte had two singles and three RBI.
Dirigo falls to 1-1.
GIRLS LACROSSE
GARDINER 12, MORSE 7: Lilly Diversi had four goals and two assists to lift the Tigers in Gardiner.
Sophie Blanchard and Emma Bourget added three goals each for Gardiner (1-0) while Averi Baker had two. Skye Cotnoir stopped seven shots.
Delaney Pascuzzo had four goals for Morse (0-1) while Mary Larochelle had three.
MESSALONSKEE 15, BANGOR 1: Jenna Cassani and Journey Charles each scored four goals to lead the Eagles in Bangor.
Shauna Clark added two goals and two assists for Messalonskee (2-0) while Madi Doody, Gabi Smart and Julia Wade had two goals apiece. Shea Cassani made four saves.
Kate Ruhlin scored for Bangor (0-1) while Sarah Doore stopped 12 shots.
BASEBALL
MCI 8, WATERVILLE 5: Kaythearn Martinez had two hits, including a double, and Max Bottenfield had three hits to lead the Huskies in Waterville.
Carter Bubar, Lenn Thieme and Logon Cote also doubled for MCI.
Brandon Bearce doubled for the Panthers.
