The 10th Annual Ray Haskell Golf Invitational is to be held Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Waterville Country Club, at 39 Country Club Road, in Oakland.

Proceeds from the event, hosted by the Alfond Youth & Community Center and Ray Haskell Ford, are to help give all children an opportunity to attend summer camp at Camp Tracy and participate in programs offered at the center.

The tournament is an 18-hole scramble with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.; registration begins at 10 a.m. Features include prizes for longest drive for men and women, an air cannon challenge and putting contest, prizes and raffles, as well as silent auction items, including MLB memorabilia and a Jotul Fireplace.

Contributing to the event’s success are Ray Haskell Ford, top co-sponsors Jo and Ray Boshold, Golden Pond Wealth Management, and Valley Beverage.

This year’s headliners include former Boston Red Sox stars Mike Torrez and Bill “Spaceman” Lee, along with other former MLB players like Rick Miller and Steve Crawford.

A free baseball clinic hosted by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni and the Red Sox Foundation will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 11 at Purnell Wrigley Field on Matthews Avenue in Waterville for children ages 8-12. To RSVP, email Crista Lavenson at clavenson@clubaycc.org.

The public is invited to support the event by becoming a sponsor or registering to play. The cost is $400 per adult or $1,500 for a team of four, which includes an awards dinner with the MLB players following the event at Waterville Country Club.
