PITTSFIELD — A woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries Thursday morning after being pinned between two vehicles as a wrecker unloaded a truck, according to police.
The Pittsfield Police Department received a call around 8:30 a.m. about the incident, which took place in the vicinity of C Street in Pittsfield, said Pittsfield police Chief Pete Bickmore.
Bickmore said there was a flatbed wrecker on the street that was unloading a truck and another vehicle in front of the wrecker. The woman, whom police did not identify, was standing between the front of the wrecker and the second vehicle.
When the wrecker unloaded the truck, it moved the wrecker forward, and pinned the woman between the two vehicles.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield. Bickmore said he spoke with the woman’s husband, who said she was doing “better.”
