Mark O’Brien is the clear choice to be the next mayor of Augusta. I have known Mark and have had the pleasure of serving with him for many years. As a city councilor, school board member, interim mayor, and having volunteered with many local organizations, Mark is a proven and effective civic leader.
Mark O’Brien is a competent leader with high standards of both personal and professional integrity. He acts on conviction, not impulse, and is honest and humble. Mark is a great listener and that’s needed now more than ever before.
Augusta is facing some serious challenges. The retirement of our long-serving city manager combined with an uncertain economic future make it critical we have a mayor who knows our city well, develops mutual trust, and is able to lead with authentic modesty.
