My name is Donna Alexander and I was born and raised on Stevens Road in Augusta. Marci Alexander is my daughter-in-law, married to my son Troy Alexander.

There is no better candidate for Mayor than Marci.

If you know Marci, you know that she spends countless hours giving back to our community in ways which truly make a meaningful and positive difference. If you don’t know Marci, you will quickly learn that she is the kind of down-to-earth, approachable person that makes you want to know her more and in turn, she will want to get to know you.

One of nine children, Marci worked to pay her way through university and law school. She met and married my son Troy. Together they settled in Augusta near me and my husband.

I feel fortunate to have my family around me. I love them very much. I’m so fortunate to be able to go with them shopping at the market place, lunch downtown or even to a doctor’s appointment. Marci wants that too.

That’s why she is on the City Council and now running for mayor. It is simple, she has been working hard to move Augusta forward, you can see her work around us! As mayor she will continue that work so that her daughters and my granddaughters will hopefully stay close.

Marci is qualified and will make a great mayor. I know this because I have seen what a great wife, mother, daughter, city councilor, attorney and friend she is.

I am voting for Marci. I am voting to keep family close.
