WATERVILLE — The St. Theresa’s Ladies Guild of Corpus Christi Parish is holding its annual toiletries drive to collect items of need for area food pantries in the colder months ahead.
The guild is accepting donations of shampoo, toothpaste, shavers, soap, deodorant and feminine products (no sample sizes or opened containers).
Through Sunday, Nov. 14, items will be collected before, during and after Masses at Notre Dame du Perpetuel Secours, 116 Silver St., in Waterville, on Saturday at 4 p.m., Sunday at 9 a.m., Monday at 12:15 p.m., and Wednesday at 12:15 p.m.
Items will also be collected during that time at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St., in Winslow, on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at 8 a.m., and Thursday at 8 a.m.
The guild acts through its members to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service. Various fundraisers over the course of the year benefit students in high school and college, homeless shelters and local families in need.
The guild meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. in the hall next to Notre Dame du Perpetuel Secours. All ladies are welcome to attend.
