When I learned that Americans pay more than any other industrialized country, I got angry. It just doesn’t seem fair or justified.
For example, I know of someone whose cost of a prescription skin cream went from $50 to $150 per month. She eventually got the drug from Canada at a price of less than $50 a month. What’s ironic is this drug is manufactured in the US in a Southern state.
Overwhelming majorities of Americans want Congress to pass legislation allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices and set a cap on increasing drug prices.
This issue is being discussed right now in Congress. Who knows when this opportunity will come up again. Please contact your legislators and tell them to act now to get the lowering of drugs to get this done.
