The cartoon of Martin Luther King Jr. that ran on your editorial page Jan. 17 was reprehensible. Beyond the usual ultra-liberal daily opinions, disrespecting the civil rights leader and his legacy by insinuating that he would support the Black Lives Matter movement was detestable.
The thought that the Rev. King would ever support a Marxist organization which devalues the core principal of the strong nuclear family, is antithetical to the iconic leader’s teachings. To think that this generational man of peace, a pacifist, like Martin Luther King would ever support the riots, mayhem, and destruction of Black businesses and lives during the summer of 2020 besmirches the legacy and impact of the man.
Shame on this newspaper for running such trash.
