Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area plans to offer a 24-hour volunteer training for those interested in providing non-medical comfort and support care to patients and their families in end-of-life/hospice care, according to a news release from the nonprofit.
The training will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesdays, March 30, April 6, 13, 20 and 27, and May 4, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays, April 9 and 23. It will be held through Zoom with some meetings in person at the hospice community center, 304 Main St.
There is a $35 fee for materials, and scholarships are available.
Hospice Volunteers is a nonprofit organization that offers compassionate volunteer support at the end of life and throughout the grieving process.
