HARTLAND — Minor injuries were reported Monday after a car veered into oncoming traffic and hit a school bus carrying 26 students, according to police.
Chief Deputy Michael Mitchell of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched to Fuller Hill Road at about 7:15 a.m.
Lt. Michael Knight of the Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash and determined Cody King, 26, of Burnham had been traveling west in a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu when the car crossed into the path of the school bus.

The school bus, which belongs to Regional School Unit 19, was carrying 26 elementary and high school students, according to officials.
Mitchell said some students and the two drivers reported minor injuries, but no one was taken to the hospital.
Some students were picked up from the scene, while another bus was used to take other students to school.
Deputies said they were still investigating the crash later Monday, but did not believe speed or alcohol was a factor.
No charges had been filed Monday.
