JAY — Brooke McKenney threw a perfect game to lead Madison to an 11-0 win over Spruce Mountain in Mountain Valley Conference softball action Tuesday.
McKenney struck out six and didn’t walk a batter. Lilly Levesque, Mackenzie Robins, Abi Linkletter, Aribelle Linkletter and McKenney all had multiple hits for the Bulldogs (3-0).
Jaydn Pingree took the loss in the circle for the Phoenix (0-4).
RICHMOND 15, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 9: Lila Viselli had five hits to lead the Bobcats to a win over the Seagulls in Richmond.
Izzy Stewart had a triple for Richmond (2-0).
Lilly Beaulieu had two hits for Old Orchard (0-3).
BASEBALL
MADISON 14, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 3: Hunter Tewksbury and Dan Mercier each homered in the Bulldog’s (2-1) victory in Livermore Falls.
The Phoenix committed eight errors.
Madison scored 14 runs in in the first three innings to shorten the game to five innings after the 10-run rule was implemented.Tewksbury got the win on the mound after three innings of pitching before Dan Mercier came in relief. Eli Timler got the loss for Spruce Mountain.
Eli Moffett doubled for the Phoenix. Each team had five hits.
GIRLS LACROSSE
ERSKINE 8, WINSLOW 7: Sarah Praul scored four goals to spark the Eagles to the win in South China.
Madison McNeff added two goals for Erskine (1-2) while Isabella Boudreau and Abigail McDonough had one apiece. Emma Henderson made three saves.
Madison Lower scored twice for Winslow (0-1) while Alaina Lambert and Sophia Sullivan each had one. Waverly O’Toole stopped four shots.
BOYS LACROSSE
ERSKINE 6, LINCOLN 5: Austin Nicholas scored three goals to pace Erskine to the win in Newcastle.
Brady Kirkpatrick added a goal and three assists for Erskine (1-1) while Casey Kirkpatrick chipped in a goal and two assists and Zane Boulet a goal. David Martinez-Gosling made eight saves.
Jack Castonia scored twice for Lincoln (0-1) while Zach Poland, Alton Coolidge and Nick Archer had one goal apiece. Will Farrell stopped 13 shots.
MESSALONSKEE 15, CAMDEN HILLS 7: Brady Brunelle had five goals and two assists to lead the Eagles (4-0) to the victory in Rockport.
Rhys Bridges (three assists) and Will Durkee (assist) added three goals apiece, while Walter Fegel had two goals and an assist and Bryce Crowell (four assists) and Jack Kinney each scored once. Brady Doucette had two assists, and Ian McCurdy made five saves.
Willy Doehla had three goals and an assist for the Windjammers (1-1), while Jakob Johnson and Jackson Fitch each scored twice with an assist. Camden Powell made 10 saves.
