HIRAM — Alex Trafton pitched a four-hitter and sixth-seeded Maranacook defeated Sacopee Valley 2-0 in a Class C South baseball semifinal Saturday.
The Black Bears (15-5) made two first-inning runs stand up. Trafton struck out eight and walked one. Brayden St. Pierre was 2 for 3 for the Black Bears, who will play top-seeded Lisbon in the regional final at 6:30 p.m Tuesday at St. Joseph’s College.
The Hawks finish at 16-3.
GIRLS LACROSSE
GREELY 23, MT. BLUE 0: Asja Kelman netted four goals while Jenny Medrano, Allie Read and Charlotte Taylor each had three goals and three assists to power the second-seed Rangers to a Class B quarterfinal win in Cumberland.
Eva Williams added three goals and two assists, and Lauren Dennen tallied two goals and two assists for Greely (12-2) while Cady Hatch also scored twice.
Greely hosts third-seeded Cony in the semifinals at 1:00 p.m Wednesday.
Michelle Seaberg made 10 saves for No. 10 Mt. Blue (9-5).
