To all the residents and business owners in Hallowell: The Hallowell Fire Department recently lost two of its senior firefighters. These two firefighter’s have devoted over 20 years a piece to their community.
Because of their resignations, the community is at risk of not having emergency fire services. All residents and businesses no longer have emergency firefighters available 24/7. My family member is a volunteer firefighter for Hallowell and has been a devoted firefighter for years at the department. They trained for a year for their certification. But the department now lacks the sufficient number of volunteers to provide services to the community.
Why is the Hallowell city administration allowing its community to be deprived of emergency services? If your home or business are in need of emergency services, who will answer your call?
