Farmington-based coalition plans September mobile outreach services

Healthy Community Coalition’s mobile health unit is offering free education and health screenings (HS), harm reduction (HR) services, COVID-19 vaccines (CV) for adults, and many other resources in Greater Franklin County communities in the coming weeks.

Individualized health coaching and connections to services are also offered, according to a news release from Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

Not all services are offered at each stop. The schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m.-noon, Western Maine Community Action, 20 Church St., East Wilton, health screenings, COVID-19 vaccines;
• Friday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Farmington Park & Ride, next to Walgreens, harm reduction;
• Tuesday, Sept. 13, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Wilton Food Pantry, 600 Main St., health screenings, COVID-19 vaccines;
• Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1:30-4 p.m., St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church St., Jay, health screenings;
• Wednesday, Sept. 14, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Big Apple, 380 U.S. Route 2, Wilton, harm reduction;
• Wednesday, Sept. 14, 3-6 p.m., University of Maine at Farmington, Olsen Student Center, 111 South St., COVID-19 vaccines;
• Thursday, Sept. 15, 1-2:30 p.m., Salem Food Pantry, 1458 Salem Road, health screenings and
• Thursday, Sept. 15, 3-5:30 p.m., Edmund’s Market, 1185 Rangeley Road, Phillips, health screenings.

Individuals seeking a COVID vaccine should bring their COVID-19 vaccination card with them.
