The Board of Pesticides Control is partnering with the Maine Department of Environmental Protect to offer a collection event for unwanted or obsolete pesticides for Maine residents and family owned farms free of charge.
The next obsolete pesticide collection days are planned for one day each in October in Presque Isle, Bangor, Augusta and Portland, according to a news release from the board staff.
More details will be provided to applicants prior to the event, including dates, times, drop-off locations/directions, and paperwork necessary for transport.
Registration is required by Monday, Sept. 26, to participate. Drop-ins are not permitted.
