I support Storme St. Valle for Senate District 15.
When his opponent Matt Pouliot came by my house, we had a nice chat, but I’m concerned about his voting record on abortion. Women have been trusted to make the difficult but sometimes necessary decision for years, and that right has been taken away nationally so each state must now protect that right.
In the Maine Senate, Pouliot has voted repeatedly to restrict abortion access. He was even the co-sponsor of a bill to require anyone seeking abortion care or who experienced a miscarriage to bury the fetal tissue. Even the Episcopal Church in Maine testified against Pouliot’s extreme bill, saying it lacked sensitivity to the needs of women related to “abortion, or mishaps of pregnancy and infertility.”
As a nurse, Storme St. Valle believes abortion is heath care. He’s got my vote, and I hope yours as well.
