As a member of the 1973 state champion Cony Rams basketball team, I learned something about teamwork, and strong leadership.
More recently, I was on a different sort of team. I was mayor, and with a talented city council, and dynamic city manager, Bill Bridgeo, we also achieved wonderful things: a new library, YMCA, hospital, athletics complex, and renewed downtown.
I learned Bill Bridgeo stands up for what he believes. He fights to help seniors pay property taxes, immigrant families to find housing, youth to find a place to gather, and veterans to get support.
Bill once told me as a young VISTA volunteer, “government can be a force for good.” He still believes it! That is why Bill Bridgeo is running for state representative for District 60 (the east side of Augusta).
I urge you to cast your ballot for Mr. Bridgeo.
