PITTSFIELD — Heather Donahue won an at-large seat on the Town Council by a narrow margin and Howard Margolskee secured the District 3 seat by a more comfortable amount, according to unofficial voting results announced Tuesday.

Donahue received 584 votes, finishing just ahead of incumbent Lindsay Holmstrom, who received 577 votes. Eric Glencross finished third with 312 votes.

Margolskee received 232 votes in the race for the District 3 seat, defeating incumbent Peter Logiodice, who tallied 182 votes.

Donahue is a former town councilor who has said she ran again because she has more to offer the town and feels her experience on the council is an asset, especially when several councilors are new to the town’s governing body.

Holmstrom has held the at-large seat for the past six months after winning a special election. She has said she enjoyed her time on the council and believed she had gained momentum to help modernize town operations and steer infrastructure improvements.

The third candidate in the at-large race, Glencross, was a newcomer to municipal government. He said earlier he was running because he was concerned about the conditions of roads in town, although he did not have specific ideas of what the town should do differently to improve them.

Margolskee served on the Town Council before stepping down several years ago because he was in the process of retiring and reevaluating his priorities.

He said previously he decided to run again after conversations with residents and current councilors. He expressed concern about transparency and leadership among town employees, and said his experience and forward-thinking style would benefit the town.

Logiodice has been on the council for three years and is the deputy mayor. An electrical and maintenance technician, he said ahead of the election he was running for reelection because he wanted to continue to serve the town.
