Jefferson author Jule Selbo will be signing copies of her books from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 at the Jefferson Market & General Store, 242 Waldoboro Road in Jefferson.
Selbo left a long career as a produced screenwriter (TV and film) in Los Angeles to move to Maine and focus on writing novels. Her latest are the books in the award-winning, Maine-based Dee Rommel mystery/crime series (“10 Days” and “9 Days”). Dee Rommel is a former cop in Portland, ME, now working with her godfather, Private Investigator Gordy Greer. Her other novels are two historical-fiction books: “Breaking Barriers,” about Laura Bassi who, in the 1700s was the only woman to gain higher education and become the first experimental physicist in Italy, and “Dreams of Discovery,” about Giovanni Caboto (we know him as John Cabot) who, in 1497, sailed under England’s flag and claimed a large portion of the eastern seaboard for King Henry VII. Her fifth novel is mystery/romance based in Florence, Italy called “Find me in Florence,” as stated in a news release.
Selbo has just become a Jefferson resident, and is busy writing “8 Days,” the third book in the Dee Rommel series.
