An opportunity to engage and ask questions of Enlightened Master Swami Gupta about Inner Peace occurred Jan. 27 at the Michael Klahr Center in Augusta.

Approximately 35 people attended the session. Swamiji spoke about his spiritual journey, which began in the Himalayas and brought him to the United States. He is originally from South East India.

He visits Maine a few times a year. He loves to celebrate the nature of Maine, especially in the winter, according to a news release from Malley Weber of Friends of Swami Gupta.

Swami Gupta shared his wisdom on the very practical ways in which each individual can take steps toward a more peaceful and celebratory state.

The talk concluded with blessings in which Swamiji shared his energetic state. This state of being, known as Turiya, is best experienced rather than explained, Weber said.
