WINTHROP — Upstream Cobbossee plans this month to hold a public presentation about restoring alewives, American eels and other sea-run fishes into the Cobbosseeconte Watershed.
The talk is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Charles M. Bailey Public Library, 39 Bowdoin St. in Winthrop.
The history, the dams, the fishes, the environment and water quality are a few of the areas to be covered, with time for any questions and a conversation about sea-run fish passage in the Cobbosseeconte watershed, according to a news release from Upstream Cobbossee’s John Graham Jr.
Pizza and refreshments will be served and sponsored by Upstream Cobbossee.
For more information, call Graham at 207-215-9959.
