Jeffrey Clinton Hatch

AUGUSTA – Jeffrey Clinton Hatch, 64, passed away on March 14, 2023, at Maine General Medical Center. He was the husband of Robert “Bob” Nazlian, with whom he shared 41 years.

Jeff was born in West Gardiner on Nov. 8, 1958, to the late Wayne and Gerianna (Kennedy) Hatch. Jeff graduated from Gardiner High School in 1977 and went on to beauty school at Central Beauty School where he received his certificate in cosmetology. He opened his own salon, 19 Allen Street, and was there for 35 years before he retired in 2022.

In his free time, Jeff enjoyed going to his camp on Ebeemee Lake where he could swim, fish, kayak or just lay on his beach and listen to country music. Jeff loved his cats and dogs, and was comforted by his pomchi June, June Hannah. You might spot Jeff at flea markets, antique stores or garage sales all over the state finding new decorations for his home or camp.

Jeff is survived by his loving husband and five siblings; Fred Hatch, Jo-Ellen Staples, Jonathan Hatch, Thomas Hatch, Rachel Hatch Dunnett and their families. He is also survived by his stepmom, Mildred Hatch.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was predeceased by his four grandparents; Grammy and Grampy Thompson, Clinton Kennedy and Maxine Hoffsess.

Visiting hours will be held at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street, Augusta, on Sunday March 19 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. A funeral service to honor Jeff’s life will follow immediately after. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
