AUGUSTA — The Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services plans to host a tribute of remembrance, reflection and appreciation ceremony at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the State House in the Hall of Flags to honor the service of Vietnam veterans.

“Maine’s Vietnam-era veterans are a special group of people who sacrificed so much for our country. It is our responsibility to honor them for their courage and dedication in the face of danger and remember all of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom,” said Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services Director David Richmond, according to a news release from Ryan Lorrain at the bureau.

Leadership from Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services will be joined by Maj. Gen Douglas Farnham, adjutant general of the Maine National Guard, to recognize and reflect on National Vietnam War Veterans Day.

Light refreshments will be served.
